Tattoo Removal Man
“Sometimes I hear people say ‘When I look back over my life I have no regrets!’
And I wonder how could that be? How could that be!
I can’t look back over a single day without having regrets.
Some of my regrets go back decades!
Take for example some of my tattoos from my youth.
They seemed like a good at the time. No, not so much.
I wouldn’t mind loosing some of them to tell you the truth.
Maybe other people feel the same way.
I could figure out to do that. I could become the Tattoo Removal Man.
I could make some money. I could… I could open up a business.
I could franchise. I could… I could do an IPA, go public, do futures.
I could make some money. It can’t be that hard.
All I really got to do is figure it out, that won’t be hard, and then just get the word out.
Let people know. I gotta advertise it. Can you help me advertise it Humbleman Band?”
Ah’ll hook you up, you’ll be my fan, ‘cause Ah am the Tattoo Removal Man
Come to me, Ah’ll be glad to see ya. Ah know it seemed like a good idea
But now it must be kind of a drag, that old tattoo is starting to sag
You’ll lose that thing that’s starting to fade
Only 2x as much as you originally paid! (Refrain:)
Tattoos on him, tattoos on her. You can be my very first customer
The wings on your back have started to fade
Ah’ll scrape ‘em off with my razor blade
A little sandpaper… something like that
Bet your ass you’ll lose that ‘tat
Those Chinese letters will be gone fast… Even if Ah have to bleach your ass
Br: That old tattoo that’s startin to fade..
He’ll scrap it off with his razor blade
I’ll get that tattoo off you fast
He might just have to bleach your ass
He’ll hook you up, you’ll be his fan
I Am THE TATTOO REMOVAL MAN
The one on your chest that looked so sweet / If it sags much more it’ll hit your feet
C’mon around, ya got nothing to fear / Your ex-wife’s name will disappear
You’re in good hands. It’s my duty / Your ex-girlfriend – Judy
And don’t forget that tramp-stamp / Cause I am the Tattoo removal man

Oh no, North Dakota what ‘cha trying to do to me
Messing with the waters of the mighty Missouri
We didn’t want this trouble, we didn’t want this fight
But our 7 Councils Fire burns bright into the night
(Cho.) Forward Is the motion. Through each weary mile
The American Indian Movement’s been with me all the while
Forward is the motion, won’t you walk with me?
American Indian Movement for the 21st Century
Oceti Sacowin, Rosebud, Sacred Stone
Water Protectors need never feel alone
Brave Red Warriors may all your camps be strong
We pray to the Creator to hear our humble song
We speak in English, we speak in Español
In colonizers’ language we pray to save our souls
My ancestors spoke Irish, that was forbidden too
Warriors of all nations have come to stand with you

Twist of Love
03:26
|
|||
I put my line out and I caught the man, I reeled him ‘cause I had a plan,
I didn’t realize the woman in me, Would pay a price, just to be free.
(Cho)That boy was master of my mind and soul
But why then oh why was he my ultimate goal?
I have to wonder why the women all say, My brain was foggy all night and all day,
This lovers’ game is not exactly on par, Does it really matter if the guy has a car? (Cho)
I beg you dear to start seeing clear, That a man is not a cure.
Possession, obsession, objectification, Really holds no allure.(Cho.

Smile
04:29
|
|||
Let me see you smile. Let me see you smile. (What?)
Let me see you smile
Got a friend named Shawn living on my street
His smile’s so sweet! It can't be beat!
He smiles and smiles all over the place
A smile so big how's it fit on his face?
He's always smiling, don’t know what for
Sometimes I wonder if his face gets sore
One thing for certain is fine to see
He always smiles when he sees me
(Cho) So smile for me brother/sister
Let me see the smile in your eyes
I know things there’s some rough weather
And things could be more better, but
We woke this morning breathing once again...
So smile for me my friend
Want to see a smile? There ain’t no other
Like the one on Luke. (Who?) Shawn’s brother
You often see him by Shawn’s side. I swear his smile’s a mile wide!
Easy going, even keeled, a smile bigger than a football field!
One thing for certain I know is true - He's sure to smile when he sees you
How about Bella! It’s understood she got the best smile in the neighborhood
Now here’s a fact, listen up y’all, Her smile is wider then she is tall!
Oh, and my main man Jack His smile’s so big it’s a smile attack!
Ah smiling is the place to be! So c’mon... smile for me!

Alien

Midnight at the border trying to cross the Rio Grande
Running with coyotes to where the streets are paved with gold
Diving under water when you hear the helicopters
You know it's all been worthless if you run into a patrol
Hiding in the shadows so scared that you want to scream
But you dare not make a sound if you want to
Hold on to your dream
Cho: Hold on you may not have a lot but you
Hold on, cause you know it's all you got
No matter the consequences or the
Fear that grips your senses
You have got to hold oî to your dreams
Down at Western Union sending cash bach to your family
Drinking lá cervezá where the lights are very low
Your mind may start to wonder when you think about your village
And the woman that you love so much that's still im Mexico
At just 2 bucks an hour there is little to redeem this life
Except that in your mind you're trying to hold on to your dream
City of the angels where the bright light fascination
only adds to the confusion that your mind must now endure
Gringos take advantage when they know that you're illegal
You avoid lá policiá like á plague that can't be cured
modillá you'll find just what pollia means
but you dare not file a complaint if you want to
Hold on to your dream

Ever feel kind of down and out
You don't know just what to do?
Living all of your days in darkness
Let the sun shine through
Ever feel that somehow, somewhere
You lost your way?
And if you don't get help quick
You won't make it through the day?
(Cho)
Could you call on Lady Day?
Could you call on John Coltrane?
Now, ‘cause they'll, they'll wash your troubles
Your troubles, your troubles, your troubles away!
Plastic people with plastic minds
Are on their way to plastic homes
No beginning, there ain't no ending
Just on and on and on and on and on
It's all because they're so afraid to say that they're alone
Until our hero rides in, rides in on his saxophone

Hannah

Hannah, watch your sugar, Sugar!
Hannah, better/gotta watch what you eat!
Hannah, watch your sugar, Honey
Hannah, don’t be too sweet!
Stop your grazing, mend your ways,
Eat right every meal!
Do just what your Papa says
Carbohydrates is the deal.
Life’s just one big roll of the dice
So much depends on luck
With the hand that you’ve been dealt, each day,
Several times, you’re gonna get stuck!

No Home
02:26
|
|||
My curtains will be gingham, a lovely shade of blue
I’ll have tea on Sundays, and of course I’ll invite you.
(Cho.)No worries I’ll never have to be alone; But for now I have no home.
Her eyes will open to heaven; my baby’s got her own bed now,
Safe at night in a warm place; she doesn’t need to ask me how (Cho.)
One day life was fine, and the next it fell apart
No food or money, and I have lost my heart
I didn’t think it would be so hard; just to have my dignity,
Or living in a shelter, is where I ought to be
I lost my job and I couldn’t get by; a few bad turns
and the luck went dry, For my little girl I must provide
Can I look in the mirror and not want to hide?
Can someone lend a hand, we really want to try.
This time we might not have to cry.

Peppermint Patti
03:00
|
|||
To my surprise before my eyes in this modern world
To my delight my date tonight’s an old fashion girl
I must get home to wash and shave
I must remember to behave!
Oh wow! She’s one sweet pal, my Peppermint Gal!
I’ll take her coat, I’ll get her chair, I’ll do things right.
I’ll bring her flowers, a perfect gentleman tonight
I just might be right on cloud 9
When she slips her arm through mine
I’ll spend my money on my sweet honey, my Peppermint Gal!
I’m so proud when she’s next to me
Hand in hand for all to see
It’s true I have this fantasy
That she’ll play Patti-Cake with me... (Ooh la la!)
I’m on my way, boys don’t wait around for me
From 30th Street I’ll catch the train to Atlantic City
There with all my boardwalk charm
My shoe box underneath my arm
I’ll hope to win her with my charm, my Peppermint Gal!

Special Currency
04:34
|
|||
The music always brought us all together
The madness to our method so it seemed
Wednesday’s we would gather in Buck’s basement scene
All the while sharing Humbleman dreams
(Cho:) But oh, your smile, I’m thinking of your smiles
Like ones you gave to Antoinette and me
Accounting for these riches you shared for free
Smiles were your special currency
Groovin’ to the music, let it all flow. Rhythm section funky, bass man so low
Conjuring the music, conjuring the song
Take us on a journey all night long (Cho)
Humbly giving thanks for all our blessings
Bravely trying hard to do/know what’s true
Knowing we must rise to greet each morning
Wondering how we’ll go on without you
Our final set together is now over.
“Last call” is but a memory
Our final set together is now over.
“Last call” is but a memory
Elvis left the building its time to go home
Just wish I didn’t feel so all alone
The set list has been finished, last song has been sung
Why is it is seems our best die too young. (Cho)

Wissahickon
03:31
|
|||
The Wissahickon’s flowed through so many seasons
So many years that I’ve seen.
Past the Pool of the Devil, the Drive Forbidden, and oh the Valley So Green
When the rains would be heavy the creek would rise
Flowing to the Schuylkill so strong
Whether it was raging or gently flowing
It would make me want to flow along
Seeking refuge from the city,
Trees my shelter, sky my roof
What’s to loose, except my blues
‘Cause my shoes are waterproof!
I’ve loved our walks through the Wissahickon
I’ll love them till my days are done
You had your painting, I had my music,
Together we had a fine son.
Never was rich nor famous
Never was a big star
Had no money, but I had you honey
And that was better by far.

Beautiful Day
04:41
|
|||
When it gets rough the tough get going, well it’s gotten rougher these days
We’ve been duped, we’ve been fooled, abandoned and betrayed.
Take my hand my brother, take my shoulder to lean on
Hear me holler, hear me shout - We’ve moving up, we’ve moving out
(Cho 1) Hey, hey, hey! Want to hear you say
So many dreams now lie in pieces, so many hopes have run aground
Too few leaders, too few visions too much anguish/hatred all around
The going won’t be easy, but one thing is for sure
We will find joy in the journey cause we’re journeying once more.
(Cho 2) Hey, hey, hey! Want to hear you sing…
Hey, hey, hey! It’s a beautiful thing!
Though you know it’s uphill, no coasting on this ride
Still it seems more better whenever you are by my side
What’s that sound I hear arising, what’s that flickering light
Could it be the dawn arriving to dispel this dreaded night
What’s that sparkle in your eyes, what’s that silly grin I see
Could it be you hear the call-up
You’ll rise up and walk with me (Cho 1 / 2)
